International Learning Communities

The International Learning Community project links the leadership of the Dumfries-Galloway region of Scotland with the leadership of Indiana’s RISE 2020 rural communities. Created with the help of RUPRI (Rural Policy Research Institute) the overall goal of this "learning community" is to provide network members with the opportunity to understand better:

• Global dynamics and their affects on local/regional economies;
• Provide a collaborative forum to learn specific community capacity building strategies/techniques through both informational and community leadership exchanges

The International Learning Community project consists of three main products:

• International Community Exchanges
• Peer Learning Video Conferences
• Learning Community Website
